David Cook - Crowned American Idol
Cooking up a winning performance is what Season 7 American Idol was looking for and that’s what they got when David Cook entered the competition.
I’m having mixed feelings about tonight’s finale. On the one hand, I was getting attached to little David Archuleta and his handsome boy looks and smooth vocals. Week after week (give or take a few missed lyrics in past episodes), the boy took North America by storm. He is such a good performer and his down to earth, still obviously 17 attitude really had me hoping he’d take the title.
However, David Cook definitely had the rock factor. He pleases all crowds and the entire time I thought he would be the next Chris Daughtry. The guy knows how to work a crowd and isn’t afraid to show off. Something little David Achuleta seemed reluctant to do.
David Cook deserves the crown and I’m hoping his success is more Kelly Clarkson/Kerry Underwood then Clay Aiken/Rubben Studdard.
