Calm the Wedding Jitters!

Published by carolinecloutier at 4:03 pm under Advice Edit This

Keeping the nerves at bay on what is for many, the biggest day of your life, can be difficult! I for one, am nervous about my upcoming nuptials and it’s three months away. Therefore, I looked into tips to help me get through the ceremony without fainting or having a heart attack!

1.       Keep yourself occupied! The day before the ‘big day’, go to the spa and relax! Have a massage, get your nails done or get a facial. De stress yourself beforehand, so you are fresh and ready to go.

2.       Breathe! Remember to breathe when the day comes. It seems obvious but when we are nervous, our breathing habits change and therefore cause us to feel a little dizzy. Take deep breaths and take in some fresh air beforehand.

3.       Drink water! Drinking plenty of water will keep your body hydrated and therefore will allow you to think more clearly and keep you calm.

4.       Skip the morning java. Coffee will only increase your heart rate and give you the jitters before you are even at the alter!

5.       In the end, remember the reason you are getting married in the first place and focus on your fiancé. Focusing on one another will help ease the anxiety and allow you to live in and enjoy the moment.
