An unfortunate part of this story is too many women can relate to this, myself included. Women who are abused by men, whether it be physical or emotional, often find it hard to leave the relationship. The abuse seems to form a strong tie between the two individuals involved - a very unhealthy tie. Women who find themselves in abusive relationships often feel as though they did something to bring about the abuse.

I unfortunately endured abuse and found it extremely difficult to leave the relationship. I thought I did something to cause it and wanted to fix it. The abuse also gave me the false belief that our love was strong and ‘passionate’, explaining away the abuse. Rihanna is young, not too much younger than I was when I was in my abusive relationship. Chris Brown is probably her first love and she wants to make it work.

Hopefully because she is a public figure, she will open her eyes and see just what this relationship can do to her if she stays. Once he hits her once, he will hit her again.

The super model and her New England Patriots quarterback boyfriend had been dating for for 2 1/2 years when wedding speculation peaked around the new years, as news of  an engagement surfaced in gossip columns across the world.

Immediate family and close friends were in attendance to watch the beautiful pair wed. Among the guests was Brady’s one year old son, whose mother is actress Bridget Moynahan.

Bundchen looked stunning in a Dolce & Gabbanna gown. Her bridesmaids were dressed by the same designer. Her three dogs were not forgotten as they walked down the aisle in matching lace collars!

Move over Brangelina, this couple is definitely much better looking and just as powerful! In May Forbes reported that Bundchen  is the world’s highest paid supermodel, estimating her annual earnings at $35 million.

Jade Goody rose to fame after making racist remarks about Shilpa Shetty, the stunning Bollywood actress, while starring on British reality show “Big Brother” in January 2007. Goody went on to star in Indian reality show “Bigg Boss” in August 2008, when she was diagnosed with cervical cancer. Unfortunately the cancer had spread to her groin, liver and bowels. Doctors gave Goody only weeks to live.

In spite of her illness, love appears to be conquering all. Goody and Tweed wed at the down hall country house hotel in Essex. Tweed was in prison for assaulting a teenager with a golf club last year. He now is under police monitored curfew, however was granted an exception for the night of his wedding.

Goody looked absolutely stunning in a 3,500 pound cream silk wedding gown designed by Pronovius.

“She looked absolutely beautiful. And he looked very handsome. They got a standing ovation from everybody there. It was a very heart-rending and happy ceremony,” said Goody’s and publicist Max Clifford after the ceremony.

Apparently immediately after they said their vows, Heidi started crying. Honestly if that was me, I wouldn’t be crying happy tears. I actually first learned about the nuptials while watching The Hills After Show on MTV last night. Heidi’s sister Holly was a guest and first learned about their wedding date on live TV. Holly’s reaction to the news was upsetting, as she began to cry.  

Heidi appears to have been snagged by Hollywood and her manipulative unemployed now husband. If anyone tried to make me push my family or best friends away, and then try to convince me to elope, wouldnt’ be with me for long!

Not one person in Heidi’s family was present at the ceremony. Regardless of how it looks however, the couple claim they are extremely happy and deeply in love. Will this union last? I would love the opinions!

 The owner of Playboy has been married numorous times in his life and starred in his own Reality TV shows with his three main bunnies, Girls Next Door. Admittedly I and my husband have watched several shows. Hmm I’m not sure why….Either way I have had a glimpse through this older man’s life and it just seems lonely!

Hef’s main squeeze Holly has left him for someone with realistic magic, Criss Angel, and now Kendra has become engaged to Philadelphia Eagles hunkster Hank Baskett.  Apparently Hef is happy for the couple and will be giving Kendra away at a ceremony in June, held of course at the Playboy mansion.

While he is ‘giving his blessing’ he must be realizing that his younger women would actually rather settle down with younger men no? I mean the whole philosophy of older man (in this case much older) with younger woman becomes less appealing when older man begins to wear diapers and younger woman craves rock hard abs…Hey it works both ways! Just stay tuned to see what happens to poor Demi….

She mentioned that what Angelina did to her marriage was ‘uncool’ and I cannot help to agree with her. While it appears she has forgiven her former husband, she has all right to be upset at Jolie for giving the media details on when they really fell in love - on the set of Mr. and Mrs. Smith. This is when Aniston and Pitt were still fully married.

I realize I am one of the few people on this earth who doesn’t find Jolie as good looking as she is portrayed in the media. In fact she’s more gumby then supermodel in my eyes. And reality is the woman is a little strange. Does anyone not remember the vile of blood days? While she has used her celebrity status to do good work in the world, that still doesn’t stop me from thinking she is doing some witchcraft on the side. She set her sights on Brad Pitt and voila! Got him.

It’s funny when I see Perez Hilton calling Evan Rachel Wood, the woman who got in the way of Marilyn Manson’s marriage, a ‘homewrecker’, yet Angelina Jolie is excused? The real problem in that situation WAS Pitt, however this doesn’t mean we should attack the ex wife. Of course Aniston lashes out, it’s about time. The woman was what she thought was happily married and her husband left her! How would you feel?

Should I count myself lucky then? Since the wedding day, my husband and I have only grown closer. In fact I remember hearing the minute you move in with someone problems start. The truth is (and don’t hate me ladies) but the minute I moved in with my now husband, the love making started! We have only been growing closer since moving in and now getting married. I know this is right because of the fact that we can share anything - and I mean anything - with one another.

A marriage is based on trust, love and human nature. Lets face it, if you cannot fart in front of your boyfriend, you shouldnt’ marry him. If you can’t fart or burp in front of your husband…..well….what are you doing together? It’s just a test of mine. You must fully be comfortable with someone before walking down the aisle. Bathroom habits and all.  You are after all entering the union to share all that life has to offer. That is including the nursing home.

Cheers to all of the good marriages out there. I do hope someone reading this knows exactly what I’m talking about. When I got married, I looked at my husband and I fell in love with him all over again.

As a Canadian, I was not able to vote, however American politics has quite an impact on my country and I am excited about its newest administration. When President Bush was in power, Canada was greatly affected. We joined in on the war and our economy went up and down with the Americans. I’m actually thrilled to see a light at the end of the tunnel in terms of war and economical strife.

I feel the new President is a good thing for the Americans. I think it signifies hope, peace and freedom. Everything North America should stand for. I’m not a fan of the Conservatives in my country and I wasn’t a fan of the Replubicans. I hope this affects our next election and finally bring back a Liberal government.

 The three victims, Darnell Hudson Donerson, 57, Jason Hudson, 29 and Julian King, 7, were buried in Chicago. A memorial was held at the Pleasant Gift Memorial Baptist Church.  The tragedy tore apart a loving family and stunned a community and the world.

Jennifer Hudson, an American Idol contestant and Oscar winner, seems to be the one holding the family together. She is a strong woman who is experiencing the most tragic event of her life. I cannot imagine how she and her family must feel and what they must be going through.

William Balfour, 27, has been arrested and is been held in suspicion of all three murders. Balfour is the estranged husband of Jennifer’s sister, Julia. What causes someone to resort to murder? I seriously don’t understand. Do some people not comprehend the consequences of going too far or are they simply evil? I don’t know.

What a tragedy. My prayers are with this family at this time.
